The Project
As part of John Lewis's nationwide digital transformation strategy, RDS 360 was commissioned to laser scan and model the entire John Lewis estate. One of the flagship sites in the programme was the iconic Oxford Street store, spanning over half a million square feet across multiple trading levels.
This landmark location represents one of the most complex and detailed scanning and modelling projects ever undertaken by RDS 360. Capturing a building of this scale while the store remained fully operational required meticulous programme planning, rigorous quality control, and a highly coordinated survey team.
The result was a fully modelled LOD 300 Revit model, providing a true-to-life virtual representation of the entire building. This digital asset now gives John Lewis full visibility and understanding of the space, supporting informed decision-making for design, maintenance, and operational planning across one of the UK's most recognisable retail destinations.
